Community is at the heart of Redeemer's mission. Redeemer is a community of grace. This means that our community is united by our identity in the grace of Jesus Christ - not our race, gender, age, socio-economic status, or psychological affinity. We believe that in our individualist and lonely culture loving Christian community is one of the strongest apologetics for the gospel.

Community Groups

Community Groups are small communities of six to twelve people meeting in homes and apartments throughout the city during the week. They are primary Christian communities, the first place Christians turn to for applying the gospel to their lives. They are also the heart of Redeemer's pastoral care network. All groups are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who receive continued oversight and support.

Each group expects to experience Jesus Christ in its midst, in His presence and in His power, enabling lives to be transformed through mutual ministry. Our groups have a rich and broad agenda. They are more than just Bible studies - they include prayer, worship, friendship, sharing what God is doing in our lives, spiritual nurture, accountability and opportunities for service.

While some churches have small groups on the side, Redeemer is centered around our Community Groups. They are the church. Therefore, to belong to a Community Group is the way to truly belong to Redeemer.

Discovering Redeemer

The "Discovering Redeemer" weekend seminar is designed to provide you with information about Redeemer and the opportunities for you to become involved in our church. It is also designed to answer some common questions about what it means to be a believer in Christ, what it means to be a part of a Presbyterian Church, and what it means to be a member of Redeemer in particular. We will explore how you can best take advantage of and become involved in the opportunities that come with being a part of our community here in Indianapolis.

We hope that "Discovering Redeemer" will be just the first step in a long and fulfilling process of spiritual growth and fruitful service at Redeemer.

Upcoming "Discovering Redeemer" Seminars Date: May 23rd & 24th

To sign up for one of these seminars, please contact Mary Howard at (317) 238-5487 x. 102.
