Ministry Teams

From food preparation to nursery workers and everything in-between, Redeemer couldn’t function every week without the help of so many wonderful volunteers on our ministry teams. Below are just a few of the ministry teams we have. If you are interested in joining a team, please contact the point person listed.

Children’s CT&T Pilgrim Band Mentor-Teachers
Mentor-teachers lead the pilgrim band during the 45 minute CT&T time. Teaching includes a story, some singing, perhaps a project of some sort, and is very open to individual ideas and strengths of the person teaching. Could easily be 2 people who co-lead.
Frequency: Serves during CT&T every week
Volunteer Term: September – May

Children’s Worship Storytellers
Children’s Worship is a time when our 4-6 year olds are led in worship, using the methods laid out in the book Godly Play. The storyteller serves as the pastor for this worship time, leading the children through singing, a story, response time, and a feast together. The story is told using a carefully scripted story and wooden figures and other props. The style is based on Montessori methods.
Frequency: Serves one service, once per month
Volunteer Term: September – July

Food Team
Members help ensure that coffee, bagels and other food items are prepared, served and cleaned up on Sunday mornings. This is a great way to help extend hospitality to the congregation, and it is a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together.
Frequency: One service, once per month. Twice yearly training sessions.
Volunteer Term: 6 month commitment

Nursery Volunteers

Nursery children are ages 0-3. Volunteers will help with play time, diapers, snack, story, clean-up & several other jobs in-between. This is a great opportunity if you have a love for investing in our children and want to serve the families in our church.

Welcome Team
Members serve as the first contact on Sunday mornings. They practice hospitality by greeting people, helping people find seats in the sanctuary, helping people find the information they need for Sunday morning worship and CT&T classes, and helping with the passing of the offering plate. Families are encouraged to serve together.
