Redeemer's Annual Easter Brunch

Our Annual Easter Brunch will be held 9:30AM - 11:30AM on April 16th, 2017.

It is one of our sweetest times of the year as a community. This is the largest meal of the year, and our community coming together makes this possible.

We are asking for a total of 24 volunteers for set up, service and teardown; 44 casseroles (22 veggie and 22 meat); 44 salads (mostly fruit, some veggie salads are good too); and 9 hams (we provide the hams, you provide the oven!).Click here for a more detailed account of our needs. Youth Group!

Redeemer + Fountain Square Pres Youth Group, 6:30-8:15 PM in the Redeemer Youth Room.

Be Our Bagel Delivery Service!

Mary Howard has been our faithful bagel delivery service for many years. She is hoping to retire this duty, but like the wonderful woman that she is, she will not retire until there is someone else to pick up the bagels!

We are looking for people to pick the bagels up one Sunday per month. The need is for first, second, and third/fifth Sundays. Volunteers will pick up 2 dozen bagels from Shapiro’s and deliver them to the kitchen by 9am. We have an account at Shapiro’s so there is no exchange of money needed.

If you are able to help relieve Mary of this task, please email Heidi Lofton [].

New Hope Counseling Services for Women and Couples

Laura Ferguson holds an MA in Counseling from Western Seminary. She came to Redeemer's counseling service, New Hope Counseling, in 2014 and specializes in counseling for individuals and couples. Laura brings the light of the Gospel and the precision of years of clinical experience into her counseling practice. She is a powerful resource for our church and is currently taking new clients.

If you are a woman and are going through a life transition, experiencing marital or relationship distress, or struggling with depression or anxiety or if you are a married couple feeling distanced from your partner or struggling with conflicts and feeling stuck in your communication and would like to talk to someone, consider setting up a counseling appointment with Laura [].

If cost is a barrier for you, there are generous scholarships available through the church. Click here to learn more about Laura, her counseling style, and her background.

Global Missions Month

February is Global Missions Month. This is a time of year when we focus on the work of Redeemer’s Global Missions Team (GMT). The GMT exists as an outgrowth of Redeemer’s gospel-centered missional identity. We facilitate international missions (in the U.S. and globally) and encourage a global missions movement within the church by education, communication, and international participation.

We cannot fulfill our mission without the generous support of the Redeemer congregation. We receive money in Redeemer’s budget, so if you give to Redeemer, a portion of your tithe goes toward the work of the GMT. However, this money is not enough to cover all the work we feel called to accomplish.

Below is a breakdown of what we would like to accomplish and how much it would cost.

2017 GMT Budget

  • Monthly Partner Support (13 partners), $24,000
  • Grants (These help fund Redeemer member involvement in projects and activities that are aligned with the GMT’s values and mission), $8,000
  • Help fund 1-2 short term trips for the Redeemer congregation, $10,000
  • Provide tangible care for partners (This includes items like one-time gifts for acute needs, discipleship training, and events when they are in Indy.) $1,500
  • Missions Month Expenses, $2,000
    TOTAL Budget: $45,500
  • Amount received from Redeemer’s General Budget: $25,000
  • Amount still needed to fully fund the ministry: $20,500

As you consider how you can give above and beyond your tithe, we ask you to consider giving toward the work of the GMT. You can always give by writing “Missions” on the memo of your check or by giving directly to the Missions Fund hereThere will also be a special offering on Sunday, February 26th at the end of both services.

Nursery Announcement for Christmas Day Service

While the nursery will not be staffed with nursery workers this Sunday for the Christmas Service, it will be open for parents to use as another option for a cry room alongside of the existing location at the back of the sanctuary if needed. As always, we welcome all kids to join us in service, no matter if they might even tend to be “more vocal” in their worship.

New Hope Counseling Spotlight

Though I need my regular community each and every day, there are moments when I need an other-giftedness . . . a clinical counseling hour where a trained ear and trained voice show me truth in non-parental, non-spousal, non-pastoral, non-sibling, non-friend form. Did you know you have such other-giftedness available right under our roof at 16th & Delaware? New Hope Counseling offers clinical excellence to Redeemer Pres. and Fountain Square Pres. congregants.

Cindy Ragsdale, L.M.H.C. Currently New Hope’s clinical excellence includes Jeff Nottingham, Laura Ferguson, Kaylin Vincz, and Mike Spencer, who sit with individual, couple, and family clients; additionally, Aaron Gardner facilitates the twice-monthly depression/anxiety men’s group on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, and Kaylin Vincz facilitates the women’s.
