By God’s grace, Redeemer remains on target to make budget in 2016. We ended the third quarter at 100.1% of budgeted giving, $1476 above our goal, thanks to your generous contributions. Though giving this quarter was down from the first two quarters of the year, the surplus from the earlier months sustained us this past quarter. Because of these first and second quarter contributions, we are ahead of where we were at this time last year by $163,505!
It is fairly typical for the third quarter to trend down, so repeating the trend in 2016 did not come as a surprise. Despite the slowdown in giving, the third quarter of this year was higher than last year’s third quarter by almost $95,000.
Expenses remain at around 95% of budget; this is the same as the previous quarter. This includes some bonuses which were given to staff who have taken on extra responsibilities that our senior pastor would normally handle. We are grateful for their dedication.
THANK YOU for your gifts which have sustained us, allowed us to bless some of the staff, and set us on target to end the year in a healthy position! We remain grateful to the Lord for his provision during this transition time at Redeemer.
Please continue to prayerfully consider how you might give to Redeemer in 2016. Meeting (or exceeding!) our budget will be a sweet gift to our next pastor. Thank you for walking with us in this exciting time and continuing to be a part of what the Lord is doing in and through Redeemer.
