On Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 10:00-10:50, Redeemer will be hosting its second bi-annual volunteer fair. We consider volunteerism to be a chief pillar of our church life and truly believe that volunteering with a ministry at Redeemer is one of the best ways to become involved in the community here.
Redeemer calls itself a co-op church meaning that we employ relatively few staff and rely on volunteers to run the majority of our programs. Not only does this approach allow us to steward well the resources God has given us, but it encourages the church to be an integral part of its ministry. Being a co-op church means that we not only encourage your participation in service, but very much rely on your willingness to volunteer.
The Bible says that our faith will drive us to action, though that action will vary from person to person and season to season. Volunteering is also a way for us to follow the example of Jesus, the servant of all, and to express our thankfulness for the community we have here at 16th and Delaware.
The fair will consist of about 15 booths throughout the gym, each representing a different ministry at Redeemer. From 10;10:50 (the normal CT&T time), we invite you to visit as many booths as you please and have your questions answered about what each volunteer ministry involves. Whether you like working with children, craft supplies, or electronics, there is room for everyone to volunteer at Redeemer. We need relational people, folks with technical trainings. We look forward to helping you find a place where your skills meet a need! Contact Heidi Lofton [email@example.com] with any questions.
Please note: there is no adult CT&T on January 8th but children’s CT&T will continue as normal.
