Each week Redeemer welcomes nearly 150 kids across the nursery, Children’s Worship, and CT&T classrooms! In order to continue to serve the kids at Redeemer well, and also be ready to welcome new families, we’d like to clarify the Redeemer Kids “co-op model” for both those parents who utilize the nursery and/or have children participating in pre-school and elementary ministries.
Nursery: Parents/guardians who regularly use the nursery are asked to volunteer in the nursery preferably once a month unless they are already regularly serving in another ministry on Sunday mornings.
Children’s Worship: Parents/guardians who have children attending Children’s Worship regularly are asked to sign up to volunteer as a storyteller or greeter (or on a sub list) unless they are already regularly serving in another ministry on Sunday mornings.
Preschool/Elementary CT&T classes: Parents/guardians who have children attending CT&T classes regularly are asked to sign up for the teacher substitute list, which is utilized in the event a regular teacher is absent.
Although the Redeemer Kids co-op model is intended for parents/guardians, we encourage and invite all adults/teens at Redeemer to get involved!
Did you know that we now offer resources for children with sensory-related needs to use during the worship service? Sarah Erwood, one of Redeemer’s college students, created “sensory boards,” which are filled with sensory activities and noise-cancelling headphones for your child’s use. You can find a sensory board located in the hallway next to the nursery, and also near the elementary classrooms on the second floor.
Our fall classes for children ages 3-5th grade are now under way! We encourage all families to get involved with Sunday classes at Redeemer.
