We are sad to announce that Kate Ghormley has transitioned out of her role as the Adult Ministry Coordinator at Redeemer. This transition comes after months of conversations about the kind of work Kate feels called to do and if Redeemer can offer that kind of work. Ultimately, both Kate and the executive staff at Redeemer came to the conclusion that her current role was not the best fit for her gifts.
Staff transitions can sometimes be difficult, but this process has been completely amicable. We are humbled by the impact Kate’s ministry has had on the Redeemer community during her time here. We are also happy that she will continue to be a part of the Redeemer community. She is a member here, and you will see her volunteering and continuing to be part of the community in a number of ways.
We are choosing to leave Kate’s job open while we review the best way to use our staff in the area of adult ministry. In the interim, Jamie MacGregor will be handling some of Kate’s duties, with Ben Reed assuming more of these responsibilities around the first of the year.
Kate will be at the Hospitality Lunch after the second service on Sunday, November 6th. We encourage you to attend, thank her for her work at Redeemer, and to share any ways she has had an impact on your life.
