You are invited to join the Redeemer community in an intentional and rigorous Holy Week. Each morning (Monday – Friday) we will be praying in the Sanctuary from 7:00-7:40am. And each evening (Monday – Thursday), we will be reading through New Testament letters (Romans, 1 & 2 Peter, James) together. Through both prayer and the reading and hearing of Scripture we will reflect on the Mighty Deeds of God in History: the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please enter Sanctuary through Delaware Street Main Entrance. There will be no childcare. Good Friday Service, 7:00pm, Friday, April 22nd
Plan to join us also for our Good Friday service, 7:00pm. This is a sobering service where we listen to the Scriptures tell the story of Jesus Christ and sing songs of his passion. We end the service in silence and ask attenders to leave in silence…as we remember the agony of the cross and await the good news of Easter morning. Child-care will be provided.
Prayer and Confession service, Saturday, April 23rd, 7:00-9:00pm
This Service will be held in The Underground, from 7:00-9:00pm. In his 95 Thesis, Martin Luther wrote that the Christian life was to be a life of repentance. As Redeemer has grown larger, we have greatly desired to keep a space for intimate community, a time of honesty and communal confession. Our prayer and confession service will be an opportunity for you to share an area in your life that you need to confess and repent; we will have the joy of praying for each other as well.
