We want to be more intentional about keeping you, the congregation, updated on Redeemer’s financial status. Though there are numbers in the bulletin every Sunday that will show you where our giving stands for the month and the year, we also plan to send out updates at the end of every quarter to offer a bit more information. At the end of March, Redeemer had received $369,185 for the year in contributions. That is 95.2% of what was needed to make budget for the quarter. To keep that in perspective, the first quarter is often a lower giving season in the life of the church. As a comparison, last year we had received 88.1% of what we had budgeted for giving at the end of the first quarter.
On the opposite side of the story, our expenses are right on track with what was budgeted. Through the first quarter, our spending was at 99.1% of what we had anticipated through the period. Thankfully the Lord has provided the cash reserves we need at this point to carry us through such a period when our spending outweighed our income.

And please continue to prayerfully consider how the Lord is calling you to use the resources He has entrusted to you to support his work through our church.
