In October we advertised a documentary, Many Beautiful Things, premiering at the Heartland Film Festival. The documentary, directed by Laura Waters Hinson (Cousin of Pat Hickman, Lead Pastor of Redeemer's Fountain Square plant), explores the life of Victorian artist and missionary Lilias Trotter who gave up her dream in order to pursue God's calling on her life. It features Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) as the voice of Lilias Trotter and explores Trotter's life, art, and why her legacy was nearly lost to history. Promised that she could become "England's greatest living painter," Trotter's radical life decision is one that pushes the limits of beauty, sacrifice, and vocation.
Please join us Thursday, February 11 at 7:30 at AMC Showplace Traders Point for a special showing of the film. Tickets can be purchased here. We would love to encourage you to see the film and support artists in our extended community!
