Our household worship this week focuses on passages that remind us of how Christ walked the path of non-retaliation and positive love for us. Take time to reflect on how Christ did not exact retribution for your evil, and how he loved and prayed for you even when you were His enemy.

Tuesday, June 9th Scripture: Mark 14:53-65 Song: I Will Sing of My Redeemer vs. 3-4 pg. 2 Prayer: Thank Jesus that for your sake He was willing to be silent, like a lamb before his shearers is silent. Ask him to give you grace to not take retribution into your own hands.
Wednesday, June 10th Scripture: Romans 5:6-11 Song: The Church’s One Foundation vs. 1-2 pg. 4 Prayer: Praise Christ that he demonstrated God's love once and for all in this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Thursday, June 11th Scripture: I Peter 2:13-25 Song: The Church’s One Foundation vs. 3-4 pg. 4 Prayer: Pray that you will be able to walk the path of humble submission that Jesus walked for you. Pray that you will have an attitude of respect to those in authority over you, and that you will endure suffering, entrusting yourself to the one who judges justly.
Friday, June 12th Scripture: Romans 12:14-21 Song: Abide in Me vs. 1-2 pg. 17 Prayer: Pray that you would be empowered to bless those who persecute you, to repay no one evil for evil, and to live peaceably with all. Pray that you would trust God to repay evil.
Saturday, June 13th Scripture: Revelation 19:11-16 Song: Abide in Me vs. 3-4 pg. 17 Prayer: Pray that the vision of Jesus Christ as the Righteous King bringing swift and sure judgment would help you not take judgment into your own hands.
