Our household worship this week is focused on mercy. Use these Scriptures to meditate on God’s mercy and His call on us, His children, to be merciful.
Monday, March 30th Scripture: Psalm 103, meditate on vs. 8. Song: Psalm 96 vs. 1 pg. 4 Prayer: Praise God that he is rich in mercy forgiving our sins and healing all our diseases. Thank Him that He does not hold our sin against us.
Tuesday, March 31st Scripture: Matthew 18:21-35 Song: Psalm 96 vs. 2 pg. 4 Prayer: Acknowledge that your heart is often like the unforgiving servant. You have received God’s amazing mercy but you often do not treat others with mercy. Ask God to forgive you of this sin and make you merciful.
Wednesday, April 1st Scripture: Luke 10:25-37 Song: Hold Thou My Hand vs 1-2 pg. 5 Prayer: Pray that you would not only see people in need but that having compassion you would be moved to action to help them, like the Good Samaritan. Pray that God would show you places to have mercy that very day.
Thursday, April 2nd Scripture: Luke 15:11-32 Song: Hold Thou My Hand vs 3-4 pg. 5 Prayer: Rejoice that the story of the prodigal son and the prodigal God is your story. You were the son/daughter who had wandered to a far land and rejected God your Father. But when by faith you returned God ran towards you, embraced you, and welcomed you back into His family and home.
Friday, April 3rd Scripture: Ephesians 2:10 Song: The Lord is King vs 1-2 pg. 14 Prayer: Thank God and rejoice that He is rich in mercy towards you. Thank Him for making you His workmanship for His glory.
Saturday, April 4th Scripture: Titus 3:4-7 Song: Hold Thou My Hand vs 3-4 pg. 5 Prayer: Praise God for his goodness and loving kindness. Praise Him for saving you not because of our good works, but according to His mercy He washed us and renewed us by the Holy Spirit.
