Global Missions Partners
The Global Missions Team (GMT) serves to promote an incarnational approach within the global context at Redeemer. We believe this approach to missions places it in the broader context of God’s redemptive, sending action and offers the third way that avoids the misinterpretations which occur when we limit missions to only evangelism or only social action. We view missions in the broader context of God’s redemption action that occurs first by sending Christ to enter human history, and then by sending his followers to also enter human history. The GMT primarily promotes missions through the following ways:
- Creating intentional partnerships with global missionaries
- Offering financial grants to Redeemer congregants for their personal global missions
- Orchestrating global missions trips
- Sponsoring the Global Artist Exchange
- Coordinating the Annual Missions Weekend
Redeemer’s GMT partners spread the name and work of Jesus around the world and engage in a cross-cultural community building (Matthew 28:19-20) partnership with Redeemer that gives us equal roles as “senders,” “givers” and “learners.” These partnerships include regular monthly financial support, prayer, and communication to our congregation. Below is a list of our current partnerships:
