Music

Music has always been a huge part of the culture at Redeemer. Our musical tastes range from classic hymns to recent songs and even our own creations. Every once in awhile we get the urge to hit record on a Sunday morning. As we compile new recordings (or dig up old stuff out of the archives), we’ll post it here for your enjoyment.

Other Recordings
From time to time, the musicians in our community have taken a few moments to sit down and record a few of our favorite songs. You can stream these albums for free, or download them for a small fee that goes directly to the people who worked on the albums.

Mid All The Traffic
Released: January 1, 2007
‘Mid All the Traffic is a chance encounter with the music at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on a particular Sunday. With sounds ranging from a Flemish harpsichord to a musical saw this CD tells the story of worship moving from sounds of gathering to sounds of departing.

Good News, Vol. I
Released: September 1, 2007
In 2007 the musicians of Redeemer Presbyterian Church spent a Saturday gathered on the front porch at church capturing live some of our favorite traditional hymns (some with newer garb). A musical picture of our diverse worshiping community.

Good Friday, 04.14.2006
Released: September 1, 2007
A live recording of a Good Friday service at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis in 2006. With offerings of compositionally rich, true laments, and cross-focused songs combined with the gifts of God and hail it makes for a beautiful and dramatic Good Friday Service.

Our worship leader, Nathan Partain, also offers music on his blog and on Bandcamp.
