Hidi Gardner

Elementary Ministry Coordinator

Hidi coordinates our Sunday morning classes for elementary kids. While much of her time is spent in behind the scenes details, she thoroughly enjoys thinking through curriculum, engaging with kids, and supporting the adults and youth who lead them. She wants children to know that our covenant-keeping God loves them deeply.

The daughter of an associate pastor, she grew up in a ministry family and was given many opportunities to explore her own calling. While in college in 1998, she began regularly serving in children's worship and finally found her niche, and earned her elementary education degree from Anderson University. After a few years of teaching and guest speaking in schools and serving in local churches, she realized that seminary would be beneficial and returned to school. She earned her Master's in Children and Family Ministries from Bethel Seminary.

Aaron and Hidi are lifelong Hoosiers, met in college, and were married in 2002. They began attending Redeemer in 2010. They have three spunky, creative children, and moved near the State Fairgrounds to be closer to church and community. Hidi enjoys walks, a good meal with friends, making recycled paper, and quilting.
