Counseling for 20 & 30-Something Women
New Hope Counseling Services is a ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. It opened in January, 2014, above the City Gallery in the Harrison Center. Its purpose is to bring healing and positive change into the lives of people at Redeemer and beyond. We are pleased to welcome our fourth counselor to New Hope, Kaylin Vincz. Kaylin is a recent graduate of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, and she and her husband Blaise returned to Indianapolis two months ago with their newborn. Kaylin has officially begun seeing counselees, and her counseling will initially focus on working with women in their 20’s and 30’s. If you are in that group, we ask you to consider whether working with her would be effective for you.
“Life circumstances such as transitions, relationships, starting a new job, or seeing your friends advance to the next stage of life can stir up various feelings. But doesn’t it seem as though life comes at us so quickly that we often don’t have the time to sit down and process through our feelings of loneliness or not being good enough or pretty enough? Maybe life is stirring up a constant low-grade anxiety about your future or your reputation at work or feeling of rejection or worthlessness but you’ve never thought it bad enough to seek out help. Yet, we have a God who loves to take these mundane moments and complex feelings and transform them into encounters with Jesus.
Counseling is an opportunity to take some time out of our busy schedule, slow down, and explore these thoughts and feelings in light of the Gospel Story we are living in.
If you are a woman in your 20’s or 30’s and you are interested in receiving counseling, I would love to walk this journey with you. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask me any confidential questions about the counseling process and how it works, what it costs, and scholarships that are available through the church.”
