Deacon Election Sunday, March 12: Brent Freeman

Please join us for a Deacon Election this Sunday, March 12 in the sanctuary. The meeting will begin after first service and resume after second service. We will be voting on Brent Freeman. Please read a brief bio of Brent’s call to mercy below. If you have questions for Brent, you can email him.

Brent Freeman and his family have attended Redeemer since 2010 and Brent has been a deacon assistant since 2013. They have three children: Ellie (5), Forrest (3), and Everett (1). Brent and Alex live on the near-east side of Indianapolis, both  drawn to live and serve in the city. Brent feels a life call to working for mercy which has led him to a career working in education. He has been a special education teacher, charter school leader, and now works for Indianapolis Public Schools central services in Special Education. He loves working with adult students who had previously dropped out and have come back to high school and helping them to earn diplomas and prepared for the workforce.

Brent sums up his call to ministry saying “I can reflect and see the numerous ways that God has been merciful to me and my family which deepens the call to mercy. I believe Jesus’ call to mercy is universal but also believe God has laid a unique burden and call for me to serve as a deacon to help facilitate Redeemer’s mercy ministry.”
