Amanda Huron
Nursery + Childcare Coordinator
Amanda is thankful to be in this role and loves serving the little ones at Redeemer by helping them stay connected to Jesus and by providing an environment where the children are known and loved by the volunteers each week. Our babies are held and played with in the Nursery while their parents worship in the service and learn in Sunday School. In Children’s Worship, the children listen to stories, sing, and have the opportunity to respond to what they are learning in the lessons. Amanda has a degree in social work and has served children in various capacities over the years, including teaching at her homeschool co-op, babysitting in her home, volunteering in the nursery and Sunday School, and working at a school for children with special needs for a season.
Amanda has been married to Josh for 22 years, and they have three children, aged 18, 16, and 14. One thing they love about living in the city is their large front porch, which allows them to greet people walking by and host gatherings with both new and old friends. Connecting with people in their local community has given them a sense of belonging that enriches their lives.
