Amy Heitzman
Welcome Wagon
Amy serves as our Welcome Team Coordinator, managing and equipping our Welcome Team volunteers with a spirit and culture of hospitality. Because every person enters the church with their unique story and spiritual journey, Amy seeks to help others look beyond first impressions, discern deeper needs, and practice abundant hospitality as they welcome people into the house of God. Amy has spent over a decade serving marginalized people and believes that genuine, heartfelt care is the cornerstone of revealing Christ's love.
Amy started following Jesus in a sacrificial way when she was 21, after she began to engage thoughtfully with the Bible and live as though it were really true. This led to her serving with the World Race for six years, followed by her time working as the COO/CEO of a local non-profit serving unhoused young adults. You can find Amy in downtown Indianapolis with her roommate, Lauren, and dog, Murphy. She loves living near the heartbeat of the city, where she can build strong relationships with people from all walks of life.
