Advent Workshop

  • Redeemer Indianapolis 1505 North Delaware Street Indianapolis, IN, 46202 United States (map)

Advent Workshop is an annual Redeemer tradition in which everyone—children to adults—is invited to join the creative process of making the liturgical art on display during Advent.

You don’t have to be crafty or an artist to participate, but you might want to wear clothes for making things (looking at you, kids).

As friends and family participate in various stations throughout the gym, we ask that children under 5 years old plan to make art alongside their adult.

This year, our theme is God’s presence with us in the wilderness. In light of that, we are collecting old camping gear to use for our liturgical installation. Please consider donating if you have any spare:

  • Flannels (old flannel shirts, blankets), plaids, and patterned fabrics in gold, crimson, forest, or tan

  • Retro camping gear, fishing gear, life jackets, tent parts, and lanterns.  All gear will be returned if the owners write their names on their loaned items.

  • Paddles and ores

We will have a sign-up sheet for all donations soon, but in the meantime please consider what items we might be able to use.

Sewing machines (and their owners) are also requested for the Advent Workshop!
