We are beginning a new session of Embrace Grace, a ministry serving young, unwed pregnant mothers. The group meets every Tuesday morning at Redeemer for twelve weeks, and we can use volunteers in multiple areas to help the ministry succeed. That includes prayer warriors to pray for this ministry, people to organize and bring food to the gatherings, babysitters (paid positions available), and mentors to build relationships with our participants. More on each role below.

Role Expectations:

• Prayer Team

  • Commits to praying for the moms and leaders by name each week of the semester

  • Some may pray on-site during class or be available for a quick prayer call as needs arise

• Brunch Team

  • Commits to at least one Tuesday morning 

  • Bring brunch at 9am and help set up before class starts

• Childcare

  • Provides a warm, safe space for children of volunteers and moms during class 

  • Allows moms to be fully present for discussion

• Mentor

  • Paired one-on-one with a mom for the semester 

  • Not a huge time commitment -- Essential duties are: 

    • Check in about once a week (typically text - however she prefers to communicate)

    • Meet up in person around 3 times during the semester

    • Continue checking in for ~12 weeks after the program ends, especially after the baby is born

    • Attend the baby shower on December 5th
