Encounter Indy 2026

  • Redeemer Indianapolis 1505 North Delaware Street Indianapolis, IN, 46202 United States (map)

We're very excited to announce that we are bringing back a great event, Encounter Indy 2026! This week is designed to raise awareness for our high schoolers about the city of Indianapolis and the good/beautiful work being done here to bless the city we live in, in order to inspire you toward a big-hearted, kingdom-minded vision of your own God-given vocation.

But we can't do that on our own! So we're very excited to be partnering with four key leaders who want to help make this experience happen for our high school students this year:

  • Tim Streett, who taught our Poverty 101 class

  • Phil Edwards, the Chief Engagement Officer at Shepherd Community

  • Joanna Taft, Director of the Harrison Center, and

  • Ben Hein, Pastor/Planter of Hope Church of Haughville

Each of these wonderful leaders is working with us to create immersive experiences each morning, followed by a workshop/discussion over lunch to give you a high-level theological vision for their work. These experiences will be from 9 am-1 pm, Monday - Thursday (June 1-4). Students will go home for the afternoon (or hang out) before heading back to Kids' Club in the evening to serve together.

We will conclude the week on Friday, June 5th, with a day trip to Kings Island. We have heard your cries, and excited to bring this back too! It'll be a great, fun recap to our week of service together. Woohoo! (The ticket to Kings Island includes one catered meal on the way home, transportation, and access to BOTH Kings Island and Soak City. Please bring a sack lunch, and we will cater the other meal. We will gather at the church at 7:30 am, and plan to return by 8 pm.)
