Harrison Center | PreEnact 2026

  • Polk Stables 1533 Lewis Street Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202 United States (map)

Come celebrate the past, present, and future of Martindale-Brightwood at PreEnact, a free community festival presented by MOVE Martindale Brightwood on July 30, 2–8 pm at the Historic Polk Stables. Part art festival, part interactive theater, PreEnact invites neighbors to help act out the community's shared vision for its future.

This year's celebration includes a special tribute: the second annual Tysha Hardy-Sellers Excellence in Leadership Award, honoring the late Gina Fears, a beloved community builder who helped shape the neighborhood's Quality of Life Plan. The event also marks a major investment, $5.5 million from KIPP Indy with a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., to expand opportunities for Martindale-Brightwood students and families.

What to expect:

  • A neighborhood parade down the Monon

  • Public art tours, live illustrators, and painters

  • A Jersey cow visit, horse-bike rides, and neighborhood walk & talks

  • Live music, a community sing-along, and gospel performances

  • Food trucks, lemonade stand, and free ice cream
