Learn About our different Cru Crews

Danielle Carey, St. Louis Metro Team

Danielle is on staff with Cru on the St. Louis Metro team, reaching students of all backgrounds from all over the world with the gospel, and Tyler, her husband, is attending Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.

Ryan Speicher, Indy Metro Team

I help lead the Indy Metro Cru Team here in the city. We labor to win students and faculty to Christ, build them in their faith, and send them out into the world to live a life surrendered to the Lord for His Kingdom purposes. We do this by building movements of multiplying disciples of Jesus. These movements seek to be caring communities, full of folks that are passionate about connecting people to Christ.

Our team labors on the campuses of Butler University, IUPUI, the University of Indianapolis, Ivy Tech, Marian, and Indiana State. We also have an international partnership with the country of Belgium, where we are currently seeking to build campus movements reflective of the DNA of the movements God has allowed us to have here in Indianapolis.

Carolyn McDonnell, International Sending Team

As an International Sending Director, Carolyn leads the people and processes of International Sending to build a culture that is passionate about both their global scope and their role as the U.S. Campus Ministry to partner with our global ministry in closing the missional gap. Her team of 23 cares for the nearly 400 staff and interns serving in 42 countries. They send servant leaders to the world!

John & Jenny Karraker, Faculty Commons

Faculty Commons is the professor outreach of Cru.  This organization believes that due to almost everything in their culture flows downstream from the university, it makes sense to try to influence professors. They believe God has called them to give the best hours of their days to reach faculty with the Christian message.  They aim to mobilize professors toward the task of evangelism and discipleship of colleagues and students.  As spiritual movement is generated on campus, they believe that they will see professors and students working together to help fulfill the Great Commission in this region.  Among the campuses they're currently targeting are UIndy, PU/IU-Indianapolis, IU-Med, Butler University, Wabash College, Marian University, the University of Illinois, Ubana-Champaign, Indiana State, and in Belgium, the Catholic University of Leuven.
