Redeemer’s Global Mission Team is partnering with Camptown—a local non-profit that uses outdoor adventures to build character, confidence, and hope for the youth—to assist in trip planning and preparation for our next trip to Kenya, June 11-21, 2027. 

Redeemer and Camptown will be joining forces with the Makukus in Nairobi, Kenya for their annual Bible School Camp. 

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please attend our informational meeting with Brent Freeman and Cindy Kleyn plus members from the first two Kenyan mission trips on Sunday, August 2 during the Sunday School hour at 10 am.

How do you prepare to join the team?

All 2027 participants are required to attend several training sessions to take care of the trip logistics and learn more about the trip. The training sessions will cover:

• passport and shot requirements 

• packing personal items (clothing, necessities, medication, etc.)

• educating the group about the ministry and the culture of Kenya and its people

• team building activities

• spiritual preparation

• preparing for our roles in the Vacation Bible School experience

• packing needed group supplies and gifts for the trip

Dates for the training session will be scheduled after the selection of the team.
