Barb Knuckles
Barb Knuckles is originally from Merrillville in Northwest Indiana. She and her husband, Ron, have been at Redeemer for 21 years. Barb moved to Indianapolis to attend Herron School of Art and Design. The Knuckles originally came to check out Redeemer because of our connection to the arts. The arts are still one of the biggest things she loves about Redeemer. Barb is a longtime member of the Liturgical Arts Team and especially loves helping with our annual Advent Art Workshop, where the entire congregation comes together to create the liturgical art for the Advent season.
Barb came to faith at the age of seven. She feels called to the role on the Women’s Shepherding Team because it feels like the next step in her ministry at Redeemer. She already provides care to those she works with through her ministry on the Prayer and Liturgical Arts Teams. She looks forward to being able to care for more people through this new role.
Barb has three adult children and five grandchildren. In her free time, she loves drawing at the zoo with her daughter, Bethany, attending First Friday at the Harrison Center, exploring the city on her bike, and trying interesting food around town.
