Meet Our Candidates

Renata Jackson
Renata Jackson grew up in the Amish country of Berne, IN, but she has called Indianapolis home for most of her life. Renata and her husband, Blake, are empty nesters who share their home with three dogs. The Jacksons have been at Redeemer for 22 years. They initially came through the persistent invitation of a friend. Some of Renata’s favorite things about Redeemer are our focus on the transforming safety of the gospel and the rich corporate worship each Sunday.
Jenny Karraker
Jenny Karraker split her childhood between Virginia and Ohio, but she and her husband, John (elder candidate), spent most of their adult lives on the East Coast working with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). The Karrakers have been in Indianapolis since 2019, working with CRU to reach university faculty in the city. They came to Redeemer that same year. There are many things Jenny loves about Redeemer. A few of them include their community group, working with the younger children at church, and the weekly communion.

Barb Knuckles
Barb Knuckles is originally from Merrillville in Northwest Indiana. She and her husband, Ron, have been at Redeemer for 21 years. Barb moved to Indianapolis to attend Herron School of Art and Design. The Knuckles originally came to check out Redeemer because of our connection to the arts. The arts are still one of the biggest things she loves about Redeemer. Barb is a longtime member of the Liturgical Arts Team and especially loves helping with our annual Advent Art Workshop, where the entire congregation comes together to create the liturgical art for the Advent season.
