Sally Johnson

Sally Johnson is originally from Zimbabwe. She and her husband, Lynn, have been at Redeemer for seven years. She appreciates the music, preaching, and weekly communion, and the Johnsons have appreciated the community they have made here at Redeemer.

Sally came to faith while still living in Zimbabwe. She feels called to the role of deaconess because she is moved by mercy ministry. As she says, “I think Jesus’ heart is for the widow, the orphan, the stranger, and the bruised reed.” Her career has also intersected with mercy ministry, first in her work in emergency medicine and now in the work she does with opioid recovery.

In her free time, Sally loves to eat out and bike around the city. You can often find her with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids. She is a dog person who is currently without a dog, but thankfully, she has a granddog she can spoil as much as the grandkids.
