Nick Cattin

Nick Cattin grew up in Lafayette, IN. He moved away for a few years after college, but he moved to Indianapolis in 2017. He made his way to Redeemer in 2018 at the encouragement of several friends who were already here. In his time at Redeemer, Nick has come to appreciate our focus on meaningful relationships in community, which he sees most profoundly in the deeper relationships we can develop in community groups.

John Karraker

John Karraker and his wife, Jenny (Women’s Shepherding Team candidate), spent most of their adult lives on the East Coast working with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). They still work with CRU, and since 2019, they have been in Indianapolis, reaching out to university faculty in the city. They settled at Redeemer soon after moving to town. John loves the relationships they have made here, especially in their community group.

Renata Jackson

Renata Jackson grew up in the Amish country of Berne, IN, but she has called Indianapolis home for most of her life. Renata and her husband, Blake, are empty nesters who share their home with three dogs. The Jacksons have been at Redeemer for 22 years. They initially came through the persistent invitation of a friend. Some of Renata’s favorite things about Redeemer are our focus on the transforming safety of the gospel and the rich corporate worship each Sunday.

Jenny Karraker

Jenny Karraker split her childhood between Virginia and Ohio, but she and her husband, John (elder candidate), spent most of their adult lives on the East Coast working with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). The Karrakers have been in Indianapolis since 2019, working with CRU to reach university faculty in the city. They came to Redeemer that same year. There are many things Jenny loves about Redeemer. A few of them include their community group, working with the younger children at church, and the weekly communion.

Barb Knuckles

Barb Knuckles is originally from Merrillville in Northwest Indiana. She and her husband, Ron, have been at Redeemer for 21 years. Barb moved to Indianapolis to attend Herron School of Art and Design. The Knuckles originally came to check out Redeemer because of our connection to the arts. The arts are still one of the biggest things she loves about Redeemer. Barb is a longtime member of the Liturgical Arts Team and especially loves helping with our annual Advent Art Workshop, where the entire congregation comes together to create the liturgical art for the Advent season.

Joel Atkinson

Joel Atkinson is originally from Lima, OH. He came to Redeemer in the fall of 2019 after moving to the city. He appreciates the community he has found here. He loves having a community where he feels safe to be vulnerable in all areas of life - the highs and the lows.

Vince Cutrona

Vince Cutrona grew up in Mishawaka, IN. He came to Redeemer soon after moving to Indianapolis in the fall of 2016. A coworker mentioned Redeemer, and the Cutronas continue to be in a community group with that coworker and her family. Vince is married to Kearstin, and they welcomed twin daughters in 2022. One of the things Vince loves about Redeemer are the longterm relationships he has cultivated through things like community group.

Sally Johnson is originally from Zimbabwe. She and her husband, Lynn, have been at Redeemer for seven years. She appreciates the music, preaching, and weekly communion, and the Johnsons have appreciated the community they have made here at Redeemer.

Amy Lurker

Amy Lurker grew up in Connecticut. Though she has lived in Indianapolis for decades, she still holds tightly to her Yankee roots. Amy and her husband, Drew, first came to Redeemer in 2012. They had struggled to connect at their previous church, so they loved how quickly they were able to connect at Redeemer. In addition to the community, Amy loves the art and beauty she encounters each week in the sanctuary.
